Regina is the owner of her own public accounting practice in Novato, California since November 2007. She brings the community over 20 years of experience in providing tax and accounting services to clients. Her target market includes:

Real estate investors
Individuals paying and saving for college and retirement

Regina has been in public accounting since 1986 when she graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration (emphasis in Accounting) and began working at a Big Eight firm in San Francisco. She started in the audit department which provided a good base of understanding financial statements of businesses big and small. She transferred to the tax department in 1988. She quickly passed the CPA exam and was certified in 1988.

She also began the Masters of Science in Taxation program at Golden Gate University in San Francisco and completed that rigorous program in 1991.

Since 1989, she has been in local CPA practices providing tax and accounting services to the business community and individuals in Marin County. She has worked with business owners encompassing many industries, including professional services, retail and home services.

She has significant experience dealing with the complicated issues real estate investors face, including classification as a real estate professional and the issues regarding tax deferred exchanges of property. She has spoken at the California Education Foundation (California Society of CPAs) for two years on tax topics including:
mortgage interest expense
real estate professional
passive loss activities
other relevant real estate tax issues

Giving back to the profession of public accounting is a priority, and she serves as Program Chair to the Marin County Discussion Group of California Society of CPAs, coordinating speakers for the monthly lunch meeting and program. She also currently serves on the Real Estate Conference planning committee.

Community service is very important and she has provided leadership and experience to the following organizations:

Marin County School Volunteers – Currently serve as a volunteer for 3rd grade math students
Novato Foundation for Public Education (School Fuel) – Currently serve as Volunteer Coordinator; previously served as President and CFO
Novato Girl Scouts – Currently serve as Brownie Leader and assist at Stafford Lake Day Camp
Juarez Mission Trip – Helped build a house in Mexico (2007)
Novato Cub Scouts – Have served as Den Leader for 4 years and Committee Chairperson

She lives in Novato with her husband of 20 years, and 3 children ages 18, 16 and 8.
